1 Information we collect

We only collect what we need to check in on you and help you stay accountable. This includes:

• Contact details — your WhatsApp phone number and, if you provide it, your name and email address.
• Your goals & check-ins — the goals you set, your progress updates, and the messages you exchange with Pally.
• Account & plan details — your chosen mode (Cheeky, Coach, or Pressure) and subscription status.
• Payment information — handled securely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full payment details.
• Technical data — basic usage information such as message timestamps, needed to deliver reliable check-ins.

2 How we use your information

We use your data only to run and improve the accountability service you signed up for:

• To send you daily check-ins and follow-ups on WhatsApp.
• To personalise nudges based on the goals you set and the mode you choose.
• To manage your subscription, trial, and billing.
• To respond to your questions and provide support.
• To keep the service secure and to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your goals or messages for advertising.

3 WhatsApp & third-party services

Pally operates inside WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. Your messages are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy and encryption policies in addition to ours. We also rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the service — for example, Stripe for payments and secure cloud hosting for message processing. These providers only access the data needed to perform their function and are bound by their own data protection obligations.

4 How we store & protect your data

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access controls. We keep your data only for as long as you have an active account, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete it.

5 Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete — ask us to erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object or restrict — limit how we use your data in certain cases.
• Withdraw consent — stop check-ins at any time by cancelling or messaging "STOP".

To exercise any of these rights, just email us — we'll respond within 30 days.

6 Cancelling & deleting your data

You can cancel anytime from your account or by messaging Pally. When you cancel, your check-ins stop immediately. If you'd like your personal data deleted entirely, email us and we'll remove it from our active systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.

7 Children's privacy

Pallyapp is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the service, please contact us and we will delete the associated data.

8 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service or the law. When we make significant changes, we'll post the updated policy on this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly.
