Terms of Service

The plain-English ground rules for using Pally. By signing up, you agree to the terms below — so here's exactly what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pallyapp ("Pally", "we", "us", or "our"), an AI accountability partner that operates through WhatsApp. By starting a trial or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

1 The service

Pally sends you daily check-ins and follow-up messages on WhatsApp to help you stay accountable to the goals you set. You can choose between different accountability styles — Cheeky, Coach, and Pressure modes. Pally is a motivational and accountability tool only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Pally. You also need an active WhatsApp account and a valid phone number to receive messages.

3 Your account & responsibilities

When you use Pally, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when signing up.
  • Keep your account and phone number details up to date.
  • Use the service for lawful, personal accountability purposes only.
  • Not misuse, resell, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

You're responsible for the goals you set and the actions you take. Pally nudges and encourages — but what you actually do is up to you.

4 Free trial

New users get a 7-day free trial, with no payment required to start. At the end of the trial, you can choose a plan to continue. If you don't subscribe, your check-ins simply stop — there's nothing to cancel and no charge.

5 Plans, billing & payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

  • Pricing — the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. We'll always give notice before any price change.
  • Renewals — subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
  • Failed payments — if a payment fails, we may pause your check-ins until billing is resolved.

6 Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account or by messaging Pally. When you cancel, your subscription stops renewing and your check-ins end at the close of your current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial months, but you won't be charged again after cancelling.

7 WhatsApp & third-party services

Pally runs inside WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., and relies on third-party providers such as Stripe for payments. Your use of WhatsApp is subject to its own terms. We're not responsible for outages, delays, or issues caused by WhatsApp, Meta, or other third-party services outside our control.

8 Acceptable use

You agree not to use Pally to:

  • Break any law or infringe anyone's rights.
  • Send abusive, harmful, or illegal content through the service.
  • Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

9 Disclaimers & liability

Pally is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we can't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes related to the goals you pursue while using Pally. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under law.

10 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service or the law. When we make significant changes, we'll post the updated Terms on this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly. Continuing to use Pally after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
